Why Easter is a Great Time to Visit Morzine

Easter skiing is all about blue skies and sunshine - what could be better than the sun on your face whilst you enjoy incredible mountain views? Don’t forget your suncream and lip balm though!

Warmer Weather and Longer Days

With the warmer weather, eating and drinking al fresco on one of the mountain restaurant terraces becomes even more inviting. Enjoy a picnic on the piste, or soak up the sun over lunch with a glass of rosé and a delicious tartiflette while the kids play in the snow.

The lighter evenings in late March and early April mean the lifts are open later so you get more piste time!

Compared to Christmas, New Year, and Half Term, Easter is typically the quietest of the school holiday weeks so if you are tied to the holidays, Easter is a great option.

What's On This Easter?

There’s always something going on in Morzine, and Easter is no different with an great selection of activities for all the family taking place on and off the slopes.

The Final Welcome Drinks of the Season

Monday 31st March

Start your week off with a warming vin chaud and cheese tasting in the Tourist Office square in the centre of Morzine. Hosted by l’Alpage, Morzine's local fruitière (cheesemaker), there's also hot apple juice for the youngsters and non-drinkers in your group.

Course des Champions Race

Sunday 6th April

The Course des Champions Race is a large ski race for children from ski schools and ski clubs, as well as holiday makers.

Local ski champions will be in attendance to offer advice, autographs, selfies and, most importantly, the prizes at the podium ceremony!

An unforgettable day for any young skier!

Alta Lumina

For something totally different, head to Alta Lumina in Les Gets.

This spectacular light and sound show is set in the woods beside the Chavannes lift. Open year round, Spring is the perfect time to visit as it doesn't get dark too late and it's a little bit warmer than mid-Winter. Please ask us about our taxi service.

Luge 4 Saisons

And whilst you are in Les Gets, why not visit the new Luge!

The 1100m long track has a drop of 104m, and if you can keep off the brakes you can reach speeds of up to 46km/hr!

It's absolutely thrilling - one run won't be enough!

With Easter falling later this year, party time really starts up on the slopes during the final few weeks of the season. You'll find live music, snowboard events, ski races and plenty of table dancing across the resort.

Have a look at our available properties for a late season family ski and get booked in!
