On The Slopes
La Folie Douce - Avoriaz
If you’ve visited a popular French ski resort before, chances are you have heard of La Folie Douce. Translated as “sweet madness”, La Folie Douce Avoriaz does not disappoint. La Folie Douce is synonymous with the après-ski culture where the atmosphere is lively and upbeat, making it a VERY popular choice!
Located in central Avoriaz, right on the slopes, La Folie Douce combines delicious food, live music and DJs with vibrant performances and an unforgettable party atmosphere.
One of the standout features of La Folie Douce is its live entertainment - DJs, musicians and performers put on high-energy shows to create a festival vibe and great ambience that extends to the service with bottles of Champagne and magnums of Rosé being delivered by zipline, complete with fireworks and confetti! Give it a go!
The food is also pretty amazing - get there for a late lunch and party hard afterwards but be prepared for a hefty bar bill!
HOW TO GET THERE
On skis, it's a short ski down from the top of the Proclou or Linderets lifts.
For pedestrians, La Folie Douce is about a 15 minute walk from the top of the Prodains lift (you can buy a foot passenger return ticket at the bottom). Go past the Changabang restaurant and you'll find a public elevator (ascenseur) in the buildings on your left. From the top of this, follow the paths up through the centre of Avoriaz and head towards the music!

Happy Hours - Ardent
As the name suggests, Happy Hours is known for its fantastic atmosphere and hours of fun. Every day from 3pm, Happy Hours hosts their après ski party with live music and DJ’s from across Europe.
Whether dancing on tables in their heated stretch tent, or throwing shapes on the stage lit dance floor, you won’t be short of a party at Happy Hours.
Victor, the owner, is super friendly and if he has space in the ski shop attached, he’ll store your ski kit overnight and you can pick it up the next day!
Definitely a bit more of a younger clientele, and very popular with local seasonaires - this place goes off the charts sometimes with good mountain vibes and awesome music. Highly recommended!
HOW TO GET THERE
Happy Hours is located at the bottom of the Ardent gondola, so you can ski down from the Linderets bowl, before catching the free shuttle bus back to central Morzine.
Non-skiers can join in the party by catching the M bus or Happy Hours bus from Morzine to Ardent.

L’Passage - Super Morzine
If you find yourself on the Super Morzine side, L’Passage is a great spot to pass by for lunch, a hot chocolate in their cosy bar or an aperol spritz.
Definitely one of our favourites and not as well known - hence a well kept secret!! The owners are local Morzinoise who know how to make you feel special and always welcome you with open arms and a big smile!
Probably one of the best views of Mont Blanc on this side of the mountain. L’Passage is also famous for the best sundowners and sunsets on the terrace with a cafe del mar vibe.
Their weekly après sessions with resident DJ or live music are brilliant!
HOW TO GET THERE
L'Passage is super easy to get to for skiers and non-skiers alike. Skiers and snowboarders can follow the Tetras run off Zore, you'll find L'Passage on your right just above the Super Morzine Telecabine.
Pedestrians can take the Super Morzine Telecabine from the centre of town, and then it's a tiny walk from the top. Just turn left out of the station, and go round the corner. You'll see L'Passage near the Ski Nordique signs.

Le Tremplin is a popular après-ski destination, attracting skiers and snowboarders who gather to relax and socialise after a hard day on the slopes.
It is a great setting if you have kids as they can run around the bottom of the piste and slide about to their heart's content eating crepes whilst you have a well deserved Vin Chaud, Aperol Spritz or pint!
Under new ownership for winter 2024, Le Tremplin has undergone a revamp. Re-opening in December, just in time for the lifts, Le Tremplin is promised to offer the same incredible vibes and authentic charm, but with some seriously fun upgrades. We can’t wait to check it out!

The Mutzig Challenge… Mutzig Beer is super strong - we have seen many guests come away from Bar Robo’s having had one too many Mutzigs.
